Contrary to what I dreamt,
my summer years were so dark.
I fell into melancholy
and nothing could cure my heart.
Strange embers filled my spirit,
the poison of unwilling memories,
for I touched innocence with death
and lost what glory had brought me.
What loss is more appealing to disgrace
when one’s life is beyond repair?
A scream never takes more than silence
even if a birth enlightens a heartache.
I’ve shed so many tears at night
yet the coming day never brought peace.
My existence became so fragile
and desire was only another word for loss.
Four thousand days of love and hope,
fell in pain when dishonor shed nothingness.
A crime that I will always pay,
a fool lingering where she said goodbye.
I was corrupted by passion
only to be destroyed by shaded thoughts.
No need for pity or another light,
I am here alone, grieving, waiting
for my death, at last.
